Lapine is inspired by the moon rabbit which also called a jade rabbit by the Han Dynasty Poets. It is a mythical figure who lives on the Moon in Far Eastern folklore. In Chinese folklore, the rabbit is often portrayed as a companion of the Moon goddess Chang'e, constantly pounding the elixir of life for her. This collection explored the traditional Chinese clothing of Han and Tang dynasty with contemporary design to share out the Chinese culture and clothing.
